Screenshot showing lack of tabs in VM console window. none

Description Geert Jansen 2009-11-22 10:56:55 UTC
Description of problem:

In previous versions of virt-manager,the console window contained at least one more tab to see and change the virtual hardware of the virtual machine.

With the version shipped in Fedora 12, i don't see any tab and i can find of no other way to change the virtual hardware of a virtual machine.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

virt-manager-0.8.0-7.fc12.noarch

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Start virt-manager
2. Start a virtual machine
3. Open up the console by double clicking on the VM name.
4. Observe that there is no Tab in the window to allow changing virtual hardware.

Actual results:

No way to change virtual hardware.

Expected results:

There should be a way to change the virtual hardware of a virtual machine.

Additional info:

Screen shot attached.

If you enable the toolbar with View->Toolbar, there is a button to switch to the VM details section. Upstream also has an option in the View menu to switch to details, which is the proper fix:
