Description of Problem:
When trying to establish a PPP connection to local ISP on the ia64 platform
the logs how the following error and wvdial continuously tries to
reconnect. I know the information is correct.

Sep 25 16:26:27 dhcpd204 pppd[14033]: Couldn't get channel number: Bad
address
Sep 25 16:26:28 dhcpd204 pppd[14033]: Exit.

Changing component to kernel and reassigning

will be fixed in 2.4.9-0.13

Works for me with 0.13.
