Description of problem:

The system hangs when I connect a second monitor. I look control of the mouse and keyboard.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.9.1-1.fc12.i686

How reproducible:
Everytime

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Connect second monitor
2.What as system is in a hang state
3.
  
Actual results:
Hang system

Expected results:
Duel monitor in working state.

Thanks for the bug report.  We have reviewed the information you have provided above, and there is some additional information we require that will be helpful in our diagnosis of this issue.

Please attach your X server config file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf, if available), output of the dmesg command, and X server log file (/var/log/Xorg.*.log) to the bug report as individual uncompressed file attachments using the bugzilla file attachment link below.

After updates I have noticed that when attaching external monitor that both are activated until gdm login. IF they are in a mirror state then things work fine. However once you change the settings so that they are not mirrored the system will be in a hang state. If you configure with the display preferences that one monitor is turned off then things work fine as well. I do not have an /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.

Reporter, could you confirm this observations please (use --enablerepo=updates-testing in case you don't have switched it on already)?

This seems to be fixed. I however do see an issue where the top and bottom panel show up on the left screen and not on the right. Should I open another bug request for this and which component would this go under?
