Description RJ 2009-11-27 07:39:28 UTC
Description of problem:
It's very hard now to use this ancient but "stable" gnumeric release called 1.8.4 because of bugs in xls and odf import/export functions. OpenOffice.org Calc is very heavy for some kind of hardware. I think other users will support me.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Comment 3 Huzaifa S. Sidhpurwala 2009-11-30 07:17:47 UTC
No package 'libgoffice-0.8' found
Need newer goffice

Comment 4 RJ 2009-11-30 07:53:07 UTC
yes, indeed. But you do not need libbonobo, libgnome(ui) and other deprecated stuff.

Comment 5 Huzaifa S. Sidhpurwala 2009-11-30 07:56:12 UTC
I have a new goffice rpm , opened bz for co-maintainers to give their opinion before i commit.

Hi,
I have a scratch build of gnumeric 1.9, can someone please test this and report back?

Also it would be good if someone could review the spec:
