This message is a reminder that Fedora 12 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 12. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '12'. Description of problem: Gnome does not detect when a disc is inserted in the CD/DVD drive. When you double click the "CD/DVD Drive" icon from the "Computer" window, nothing happens - the disc is not mounted, and you cannot eject it (right clicking on the "CD/DVD Drive" does not show the "Eject" option at all) The drive otherwise works fine - you can mount or eject the disc from the command line. The drive also works fine under KDE. The machine is a 1st gen PowerPC-based Mac Mini with a CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive.
