Description of problem: the gedit-latex-plugin contains hard dependency on texlive-texmf. 

I installed Texlive 2009 (just out of curiosity, using this repository : http://jnovy.fedorapeople.org/texlive/texlive-f12-release-2009-0.3.fc12.noarch.rpm) on F12 (fresh install). Then I wanted to use gedit plugin for latex (gedit-latex-plugin) which required texlive 2007 dependencies.

Yes, thanks Julien for noticing this. Please use virtual requires such as tex(tex) or tex(latex) instead of texlive-texmf to pull in the TeX packages.
