This is no duplicate of another bug. Sorry for my confusion.
Is it possible to give a bit more detailed description of what you did when this crash occured?

Comment 4 Conrad Steenberg 2009-12-06 14:49:55 UTC
I usually edit some files using the ssh vfs at work, then suspend my laptop and open it back up at home on a different network.

Usually an unmount followed by a mount in nautilus is all that is needed to get geany happily running again, but this time it crashed.

Yeah I know, this is rather esoteric, and probably caused by the suspend/resume :-)

Please excuse my late response on this issue. There is an update of Geany available. The current version is 0.18.1. You can easily update it by doing 'yum -y update geany geany-plugins-*' if you didn't yet.

Would it be possible for you to try reproducing this issue with Geany 0.18.1? :)

If this still occurs I'm afraid you will have to wait for Geany 0.19. I think it will take some time until 0.19 will be released. Interesting part of this release for you is, that there will be session management support which most likely will solve your problems. :)

Hi Dominic,

I'm running on Ubuntu 10.04 now, which I _think_ uses 0.18.1 and hasn't crashed in the same way for about 4 months of doing the above procedure most weekdays.

Sorry I couldn't give you more info...

Comment 7 Dominic Hopf 2010-06-05 10:00:12 UTC
Ok Conrad, I consider this bug as fixed with version 0.18.1 then. There also will be the 0.19 release within the next few weeks. You can feel free to reopen this issue, if you face the crash again.
