Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a tomboy note
2. type something

Actual results:

The mouse pointer goes away, and doesn't come back again when the mouse is moved. If the mouse exits the window area, it becomes visible again, but when it reenters the window it disappears again.

This makes it difficult to select text within the tomboy note.

Expected results:

The mouse pointer should become visible again when the mouse is moved.

Additional info:

I can make the mouse pointer be visible again in the note by opening a second note, selecting it, and then reselecting the first note. As soon as I type again, the mouse disappears.

Bug 494712 seems to be a related issue, which goes away when synergys is killed. It turns out that killing synergys also makes this issue go away. It's unclear to me whether synergys is behaving normally but tomboy/gnote/evolution have some sort of bug, or whether tomboy/gnote/evolution are fine and synergys has a bug.

It might also be an issue with one of the UI libraries.

This message is a reminder that Fedora 12 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 12.  It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained.  At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 
'version' of '12'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' 
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 12's end of life.

Fedora 12 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2010-12-02. Fedora 12 is 
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further 
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of 
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version.
