Description John 2009-12-16 06:13:59 UTC
Summary:

SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/ruby "name_bind" access.

Detailed Description:

SELinux denied access requested by mongrel_rails. It is not expected that this
access is required by mongrel_rails and this access may signal an intrusion
attempt. It is also possible that the specific version or configuration of the
application is causing it to require additional access.

Allowing Access:

You can generate a local policy module to allow this access - see FAQ
(http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/selinux-faq-fc5/#id2961385) Please file a bug
report.

audit2allow suggests:

#============= httpd_t ==============
allow httpd_t ntop_port_t:tcp_socket name_bind;

Comment 1 Daniel Walsh 2009-12-16 18:41:06 UTC
This looks like a local customization.

You can add these rules for now using

# grep http /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M myhttp
# semodule -i myhttp.pp
