Description Pavel Alexeev 2009-12-26 18:21:02 UTC
Spec URL: http://hubbitus.net.ru/rpm/Fedora11/mysql-administrator/mysql-administrator.spec
SRPM URL: http://hubbitus.net.ru/rpm/Fedora11/mysql-administrator/mysql-administrator-5.0r17-3.fc11.src.rpm
Description:
MySQL Administrator enables developers and DBAs to easily perform
all the command line operations visually including configuring servers,
administering users, and dynamically monitoring database health. Other
common administrative tasks such as monitoring replication status,
backup and restore, and viewing logs can also be performed through the
MySQL Administrator graphical console.

Additional notes:
1) mysql-querybrowser was part of mysql-gui-tools. I currently co-maintainer of it and we discuss with Dennis Gilmore (primary maintainer) and make decision to again split this to separate packages. Dennis, if you want - feel free to co-maintain it.
2) Spec-file indented by tabs with 5-space width. If it is the problem to you,
please, just do not start review.

MySQL Adminsitrator (and MySQL Query Browser) goes EOL and will be replace by MySQL Workbench. See http://wb.mysql.com/?p=470

Don't you think it will be greater to work on this new software ?

I already have a working RPM, but it need more work (to split out embeded libs)

Oh yes, you are fully right.
Work on its release starts many month ago... It died before the birth.

As far as I known Dennis Gilmore also working on packaging MySQL-workbench. I point it on your repository. He said mysql-workbench have many bundled libraries and other issues. I offer help, but do not got any answer. Remi, you can contact he directly if interesting.

I'm closing this bug...
