Description Ujjwol 2010-01-08 17:12:55 UTC
Lohit Sanskrit is an Devanagari font and Sanskrit uses devanagari so why isn't lohit Sanskrit not available ?

Comment 1 Pravin Satpute 2010-01-18 05:30:47 UTC
hmm, its required really
with this we can more concentrate on position and other features characters specifically required for Sanskrit

please let me know if anyone Sanskrit user from community, it will be helpful for testing, starting work

https://www.redhat.com/archives/lohit-devel-list/2010-February/msg00000.html

as per new decision made in lohit upstream, we are now going to keep only one font
lohit-devanagari-fonts for all languages using devanagari script.
We will use <LANG> tag of OT for adding a special feature required for any particular language
so we will not add lohit-sanskrit
