Description of Problem:
Total lockup (no keyboard led, nothing) during installation of packages
if target disk doesn't sits on hda (if it does lockup happens during
partition read at boot).

How Reproducible:
Disk on hda: 100% reproducible. 
Disk on hdg: happens sooner or later.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot with "linux ide0=0xd800" -> unable to read partitions
2.

Actual Results:
Freeze. No visible disk activity (led).


Expected Results:


Additional Information:
Highly suspicious hardware: bp6+hpt366+ibm HD+G400.
IBM HD health software had no problem rewriting the whole
disk.

Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of
the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem
persists.

The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases,
