Description of problem:
I guess transmission-daemon should contain the init script. An example is present at this url: http://jasonfriedland.blogspot.com/2009/07/init-script-for-transmission-daemon-on.html .

Charles, 

Can you take a look and merge this upstream? I would prefer not to carry patches.

Talked to Charles on IRC and he doesn't want it because it is distro specific. Fair enough till we move to native upstart jobs. I have included a modified version of the init script to match our packaging guidelines and built it for Rawhide.  Feedback on any issues is welcome. Marking this as resolved.
