Maybe this can be helpfull for you ... connect(3, {sin_family=AF_UNIX, path="/tmp/.X11-unix/X0"}, 19) = 0 ... and next message abuse ... read(3, 0xbffff880, 32) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) I'm so sorry, I missed that ethereal is splitted into two packages ethereal & ethereal-gnome for GTK+ interface, it works now very fine for me. So, again, I'm sorry for disturbing with this ... Looks like ethereal should "require" ethereal-gnome since it no longer works without it. I agree with previous poster; there is no need to NOTABUG this. As far as I can tell the ethereal package is useless without ethereal-gnome installed, and it gives exactly no indication of why it doesn't work when ethereal-gnome isn't installed. Fixed in version 0.9.0-2 available via rawhide in the next couple of days. Read ya, Phil *** Bug 57980 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
