There was a previous thread about this here, but it didn't resolve itself: http://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/33933/ This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux major release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Major release. This request is not yet committed for inclusion. Based on this new discovery that 'device_del' of the guest device, also removes the drive state, we don't have an urgent need for 'drive_del'. http://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2010-March/msg00036.html So suggest this BZ can be pushed off to rhel-6.1 Markus, I think your -blockdev work supersedes this, right? Wanna take this for your work? Or should I CLOSE/WOUNTFIX or CLOSE/DUPLICATE? Yes, it'll provide the feature. Taking the bug. Related: bug 581963. Bug 654682 asks for the same feature, just for different reasons. Since the actual work is being tracked there, close this one as duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 654682 *** |
