Hello,
this bug appears to be a duplicate of 551768.
Unfortunately, I can only supply you with the information presented in the bug report on assembla.
( http://my-svn.assembla.com/svn/gfire )

GFire 0.9 will be a complete rewrite of the old code.
As such, a release can be expected in ~2 months hopefully.

Maybe the people in #gfire @ FreeNode know how to solve this locally without recompiling.
