Description norman.nunn 2001-11-06 16:43:25 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows NT; FD)

Description of problem:
After installing Red Hat 7.2 immediately noticed that kpackage was not
running like it did in Red Hat 7.1. When previously used the program
to "test" an rpm file, I got either an indication that it would install
without dependencies or the dependencies were identified. All I get now
is a message indicating that the installation failed. That is true in
test or install mode and when I am logged in as root or a user. I can
then go to a terminal window within KDE, and use the "rpm -ivh" and it
installs fine or does give me a list of the dependencies. I am currently
using your technical service (user name is npnunn) and checked this out
with them. They got the latest version of KDEadmin for Raw Hide and
installed it. That still did not fix the problem. Kpackage was a nice
program, hope it gets fixed.

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Pick a rpm file in Konqurer (? file manager) and click on it
2.Select test mode
3.Click on install

Actual Results: Got message indicating installation failed. Words are
not exactly right. Same thing happens when I try to install the rpm
without test mode.

Expected Results: Indication that installation will work or a list of
dependencies.

please update kdeadmin-2.2-10 on ftp://people.redhat.com/than/7.2. It should fix
