Description of problem:
i'm not sure what happened but this appears when i tried to execute
something in the shell and then the system crashed

I'm not be able to reproduce it. I just were on internet and updating rpms when
the system crash

The system kswapd process dead.

I4m now using a 2.4.9 monolitic kernel.

The system works fine under low load, but crash when is under huge load.

I4ve changed memory modules and run various memory tests.

I4ve changed the lilo and include the append="apm=off" directive, but
the problem persists.

I must reduce the memory speed today.

Bug resolved on my system:

The problem was solved on my system. An no correct scsi cable was the problem.

Replaced it and work fine.

I think this bugs are frecuently hardware problems.

Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of
the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem
persists.

The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases, 
and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in
