Description Greg Hazel 2010-02-02 14:53:37 UTC
Description of problem:

The dkim-milter package depends on "sendmail". However, if you uninstall sendmail and install postfix, dkim-milter still works with postfix since it provides a symlink at /usr/sbin/sendmail

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

2.8.3

How reproducible:

100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install dkim-milter
2. remove sendmail
3. install postfix
4. yum update dkim-milter

Actual results:

Yum tries to install sendmail again

Expected results:

Yum does not try to install sendmail again

Comment 1 Jim Radford 2010-02-02 18:50:16 UTC
Thanks for the bug report. I changed dkim-milter to just require /usr/sbin/sendmail as a proxy for "sendmail milter spport".

The fix is in rawhide now. If it works for you, I'll push it to F-12.

That seems like the right fix to me.

However, I'm on CentOS using EPEL. How could I test it?
