Description William Henry 2010-02-11 15:17:12 UTC
Description of problem:

Examination of /var/log/ and /var/log/rhn shows inconsistencies between actual files and those listed in the table on 7.1.

E.g.
/var/log/rhn_satellite_install.log

should be
/var/log/rhn/rhn_satellite_install.log

No file /var/log/rhn/rhn-database-installation.log
should it be: /var/log/rhn/install_db.log ?

No explanation of the following files
/var/log/rhn/rhn_satellite_install.log.1
/var/log/rhn/rhn_satellite_install.log.2
/var/log/rhn/rhn_satellite_install.log.3
etc.

It can be assumed that they are rolling archives but the order didn't seem intuitive either. Can that be checked or explained?

These are just the ones we noticed. A thorough check of the files and descriptions should be done. The only people likely to use this documentation are first timers like me and having confusion over troubleshooting is not a good introduction to the product.
