Description of problem:

The RHN Proxy installation guide should place a Warning under step 1 here.

The warning should indicate that in order to see the Proxy Tab once a system is registered, it must be registered to the a default RHEL base channel.  As the proxy tab will not be visible if the system is registered to a custom/clone channel.

The 5.4.0 RHN Satellite and RHN Proxy release has occurred. This issue has been resolved with this release.
