I found out something interesting: If I start my ethernet network card in normal mode (Managed by NetworkManager using DHCP) then Evolution starts nicely. If I start my network in bridged mode (eth0 is a slave of the bridge and ifcfg-eth0 contains 'NM_CONTROLLED=no') then Evolution crashes. I will attach my ifcfg-* configfiles for both situations. I do still experience problems with sending emails through my MAPI account when my network-card is in bridged mode. Under that condition some outgoing emails can not be sent and remain in my OUTBOX. Fedora 12 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2010-12-02. Fedora 12 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version.
