Broadcom, Do you just need bnx2i and cnic changes? Or are you going to need some bnx2x/bnx2 changes too? Do the patches for each driver/module have dependencies with each other? The bnx2i changes (mainly bug fixes) should be more or less independent. Some of the cnic changes may have dependencies on the updated bnx2x/bnx2 drivers and firmwares. The bnx2i changes that we like to be included in rhels5.6 are as follows: 1. BNX2I-Optimized-the-bnx2i_stop-connection-clean-up-p.patch - fixes the ifup/down, mtu change, netdev down ep_disconnect issues with active session under different conditions. It has dependency on: BNX2I-Separated-the-hardware-s-cleanup-procedure-fro.patch BNX2I-Created-an-active-linklist-which-holds-bnx2i-e.patch 2. BNX2I-Fine-tuned-conn-destroy-and-context-destroy-ti.patch - fixes a condition where iscsi_endpoint leak was seen 3. BNX2I-Fixed-the-TCP-graceful-termination-initiation.patch - fixes a tcp termination issue with RFC793 compliance 4. BNX2I-Added-host-param-ISCSI_HOST_PARAM_IPADDRESS.patch - adds the host ipaddress sysfs attribute as its proven useful during pivot root 5. BNX2I-Fixed-bugs-in-the-handling-of-unsolicited-NOP-.patch - fixes unsolicited NOP-Ins handling which caused chip panic in 5771X Thanks! in kernel-2.6.18-221.el5 You can download this test kernel from http://people.redhat.com/jwilson/el5 Detailed testing feedback is always welcomed. ~~ Attention Customers and Partners - RHEL 5.6 Public Beta is now available on RHN ~~ A fix for this 'OtherQA' BZ should be present and testable in the release. If this Bugzilla is verified as resolved, please update the Verified field above with an appropriate value and include a summary of the testing executed and the results obtained. If you encounter any issues or have questions while testing, please describe them and set this bug into NEED_INFO. If you encounter new defects or have additional patches to request for inclusion, promptly escalate the new issues through your support representative. Finally, future Beta kernels can be found here: http://people.redhat.com/jwilson/el5/ Note: Bugs with the 'OtherQA' keyword require Third-Party testing to confirm the request has been properly addressed. See: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/describekeywords.cgi#OtherQA ). Reminder! There should be a fix present for this BZ in snapshot 3 -- unless otherwise noted in a previous comment. Please test and update this BZ with test results as soon as possible. @Broadcom, any test feedback on 5.6 kernels at http://people.redhat.com/jwilson/el5/? Thanks. An advisory has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed with a resolution of ERRATA. For more information on therefore solution and/or where to find the updated files, please follow the link below. You may reopen this bug report if the solution does not work for you. http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2011-0017.html |
