Description Jesse Keating 2010-03-09 01:46:15 UTC
I use aqbanking via gnucash, and when the new aqbanking got installed my online fetching broke. After poking at it on the command line we realized that my old config did not get properly ported over, and attempts to do so were short circuited by there being a (blank) new config already in place. Something went wrong with the conversion that was supposed to happen, and the new blank stuff prevented manual conversion. Once I blew away .aqbanking/settings/ the conversion succeeded and gnucash started working again.

Comment 1 Adrian Reber 2010-05-29 12:26:23 UTC
Almost the same problem for me. After updating to Fedora 13 aqbanking refused to recognize its config. I had to manually copy .aqbanking.conf to .aqbanking/settings.conf, removed .aqbanking/settings/ and ran:

$ aqbanking-cli updateconf
Config for AqBanking 4 not found, update needed (-55)
Config for AqBanking 3 found, importing
Your configuration seems to be ok.

After that all accounts and users were available again.

Comment 2 Bill Nottingham 2010-08-17 15:54:37 UTC
According to upstream, this is a bug in gnucash not calling the right conversion functions at the right time. Do you still have valid earlier configs that you could try a test gnucash build on?

Comment 3 Jesse Keating 2010-08-17 17:35:07 UTC
I don't think I do at this point.

Comment 4 Adrian Reber 2010-08-23 14:19:08 UTC
I should have an older backup with the old config. I could try a test build.
