There should be a "Read Only" checkbox on this new GUI page for editing the alert definition
This is no longer an issue, as this part of the UI got rolled back to the Struts based one. Verified on jon build# 152 (Revision: 10620) User can check/uncheck "Read Only" checkbox while editing alert definition on a resource that originated from an Alert Definition Template. Mass-closure of verified bugs against JON. |
Created attachment 398932 [details] Cannot find a way to change the data in the "Read Only" column Description of problem: There is a missing "Read-Only" checkbox when editing an Alert Definition on a resource that originated from an Alert Definition Template Notice in the attached screenshot, that there is a column called "Read Only". This alert definition originated from an Alert Definition Template. Therefore when changes to the template are made, they will trickle down to the resources that inherit this alert definition. Upon customizing this resource's alert definition, we don't want changes from the parent template to change this alert definition. That's why there is a "Read Only" column. However when customizing this alert definition, there is no checkbox present in the new RHQ30 GUI to change this field. It is missing.
