Description Andrew Bartlett 2010-03-12 09:41:11 UTC
Description of problem:
When 'pki-ra' fails to install, the error message causes a python error

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora Alpha 13

How reproducible:
Only tried once...

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade a system with pki-ra installed (from Fedora 9 packages of original Dogtag 1.0.0-2.fc9 release) to Fedora 13 Alpha
2.
3.

Actual results:
Python error

Expected results:
GUI error (better still, no error, but that's another bug)

Additional info:

On like 249 of yuminstall.py, the 'hdr' variable is dereferenced as an array. It is a string.

(Pdb) p hdr
'pki-ra'

Changing hdr['name'] to hdr should fix it.

Comment 1 Chris Lumens 2010-03-12 15:39:19 UTC
Oh it's not quite that simple. Only on some of the callback types is hdr a string. Sometimes, it's an rpm header instead and the code should stay as-is. I'll put in a check that'll work for both cases.

Andrew, are you able to confirm whether reported problem is resolved? Updated installer images are available for testing at
http://serverbeach1.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/13-Beta.TC0/Fedora ?

Comment 4 Andrew Bartlett 2010-03-19 23:03:45 UTC
Sadly I cannot - I removed the offending package with --noscript and completed the upgrade.
