Description of Problem:

the scsi- and usb-modules didn't load during bootup even specified in
/etc/modules.conf
with a simple insmod the modules can be loaded

kernel-2.4.16-0.13

sorry for this bugreport - it works pretty well when you create an initial
ramdisk with mkinitrd. Nevertheless we still should provide an initrd-file with
the kernel rpm.

we do; rpm -i of the kernel rpm makes an initrd for you
