Description Daniel Scott 2010-03-31 16:38:21 UTC
Summary:

SELinux is preventing /bin/bash "read write open" access .

Detailed Description:

[SELinux is in permissive mode. This access was not denied.]

SELinux denied access requested by bash. It is not expected that this access is
required by bash and this access may signal an intrusion attempt. It is also
possible that the specific version or configuration of the application is
causing it to require additional access.

Allowing Access:

You can generate a local policy module to allow this access - see FAQ
(http://docs.fedoraproject.org/selinux-faq-fc5/#id2961385) Please file a bug
report.

Hash String generated from  catchall,afsd,afs_t,unlabeled_t,file,read,write,open
audit2allow suggests:

#============= afs_t ==============
#!!!! The source type 'afs_t' can write to a 'file' of the following types:
# etc_runtime_t, afs_cache_t, proc_afs_t, root_t

allow afs_t unlabeled_t:file { read write open };

Comment 1 Daniel Walsh 2010-03-31 19:13:36 UTC
This looks like a kernel bug in the way the afs modules works. Since this is not part of Fedora or RHEL, I am not sure it will get fixed. I will

Miroslav can you add

ifdef(`hide_broken_symptoms', `
	kernel_rw_unlabeled_files(afs_t)
')
