The mainline fixup: http://marc.info/?l=linux-btrace&m=127177005524997&w=2 *** Bug 598647 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This issue has been proposed when we are only considering blocker issues in the current Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. It has been denied for the current Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. ** If you would still like this issue considered for the current release, ask your support representative to file as a blocker on your behalf. Otherwise ask that it be considered for the next Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. ** Sending blktrace bugs over to Edward, as he did the upstream work for them. *** Bug 624480 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Unfortunately this issue could not be fixed in RHEL 6.1. It has been moved to RHEL 6.2. Edward, Eric, did blktrace get into the approved component list for 6.2? If so, let's fix this or move it back to 6.3. Thanks! Thanks Vasant Closed as upstream doesn't consider this as a bug: they prefer to have undocumented option "-k" as a "rough edge" for their internal needs (not to kill running trace): http://marc.info/?l=linux-btrace&m=131245973528087&w=2 Since this option in not documented, users are not supposed to use it.
