MB is GA-6FASV2 of GigaByte. It is a result of lspci in Lynnfield.

I'm booting a Nehalem-EX which (without your patch) lists bus 0xff in lspci when I pass in "pci=lastbus=255" as a boot parameter.

Oh -- I need a ACPI enabled PCI enumeration ... okay, I see the problem.

Haruo, I don't see a difference in lspci with or without this patch.

Can you provide me lspci output from a system where this patch makes a difference?

Thanks,

P.

Haruo,

I still see bus 0xff in my lspci on an Intel Piketon.

I'm sure this is a problem though. Can you do the following? Please attach the lspci from the stock -194.el5 kernel WITHOUT the patch, and an lspci from -194.el5 + the patch?

That way, I can just state that the patch was tested by the reporter and works.

It turns out that this patch has been submitted previously and it caused some breakage on AMD systems. I am trying to find out the specific issues and will comment shortly.

Old bug, not going to fix this in RHEL5. Closing as WONTFIX.
