rpm -qi arts shows you arts is part of kdelibs --> that's where the bug report should go. The problem is that a stupid mass rebuild script accidentally increased the version number from 0.cvs20020109.1 to 1.cvs20020109.1 rather than the correct 0.cvs20020109.2; this package was obviously bogus and should never have been released. I'm not going to increase the release number of newer builds to 1.* because that would break things (3.0.0-1 is better than 3.0.0-cvs20020129, so the release number for CVS code must be smaller than 1), and there's no way to fix the inadvertant release of a 3.0.0-1.cvs* package. Rawhide is expected to break, so using rpm --force or rpm --oldpackage is the correct solution. |
