It's a wiki so feel free to update the page as appropriate to make the instructions correct. The previous comment is not really helpful at all. If I had the knowledge to correct the documentation, I probably wouldn't have filed the bug report or I would have included suggestions and/or fixes in the bug report. Unfortunately I don't know how to build a custom kernel, hence the bug report as is. "Incorrect documentation is often worse than no documentation." ~ Bertrand Meyer Fedora 10 is EOL and the documentation is focussed on currently maintained releases. So it is not incorrect documentation. You are merely using an outdated release and the process has changed since then. Documentation project is involved in maintaining the longer guidelines and release notes while anyone interested can sign up for a Fedora account and edit the wiki including creating new pages. Hope that helps. Maybe we should change the notice quoted below to mention that fact? "Note these instructions *only* apply to Fedora 8 and later releases" Done. Note to reporter: Feel free to post to the user list and ask for help if you are getting struck with anything in following the process as outlined in the wiki. Although I haven't verified it against the older releases, it wouldn't have changed much. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users |
