Ben, it seems most of the do_row crashes have been nVidia cards using nouveau. Can you possibly have a look and see if there's anything useful that can help fix the crash.

Comment 17 Gene Snider 2010-06-06 23:46:23 UTC
I'm getting a similar seg fault in mutter on a laptop with Intel 945GM video. This is with the normal, NOT expeimental, mesa drivers. It occurs every hour or so on my rawhide, F14, install. Here are the messages from /var/log/messages:

Jun 6 14:55:39 localhost kernel: mutter[27086]: segfault at 0 ip 0000003371c86c41 sp 00007ffff9201ce8 error 6 in libc-2.12.90.so[3371c00000+17d000]

Jun 6 15:45:17 localhost kernel: mutter[28750]: segfault at 20 ip 00000033740259d5 sp 00007fff47690490 error 4 in libgobject-2.0.so.0.2507.0[3374000000+46000]

Let me know if I should add more information. Things are stable in gnome/openbox with NO desktop effects enabled.

Had the nouveau experimental 3D drivers installed (mesa-dri-drivers-experimental.x86_64 and xorg-x11-drv-nouveau.x86_64).
Not sure if that is responsible for the crash.

Comment 28 Matěj Cepl 2011-05-06 12:51:03 UTC
This is almost certainly not xorg-x11-drv-nouveau. I would guess more like mutter (which is no wonder in F13, where it was still quite unstable).

Comment 29 Owen Taylor 2011-05-06 16:54:09 UTC
This is 100% positively the Nouveau Mesa, but it's obsolete versions, so doesn't matter at this point.
