Description of problem:
I want to change the OpenOffice "My Documents" location (for the "Save As" dialog) by using Tools->Options->OPenOffice.org->Paths->MyDocuments. This place should be located in some directory starting with a dot. But that dialog offers only non-hidden directories.

My mistake: did not use the right mouse button for changing the display mode.
