This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux major release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Major release. This request is not yet committed for inclusion. Well, the first time we've just run through udev's list of devices. The second time - when you see the dialog - we're inspecting all the devices to see what partitions and filesystems are on them, building and tearing down RAID devices, etc. That's the slow part and really needs some sort of progress indicator, but it's hard to decide what to put there that doesn't sound overly technical. Perhaps change the second one to 'Inspecting storage devices...'? I dunno. There's still a little time before string freeze, and this has always bugged me. I'll try to come up with a fix in the next week and get it in. In snap #7 I see a dialog that says "Examining storage devices" instead of the "Finding storage devices" in earlier snapshots. Moving to VERIFIED. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 is now available and should resolve the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed with a resolution of CURRENTRELEASE. You may reopen this bug report if the solution does not work for you. |
