Description of problem:
Boot into rescue mode or boot up a full Fedora 11 session, type 'grub' to enter grub shell. Enter usual commands, press tab for completion, cursor just moves to the right

From a grub command line at boot (press 'c') tab completion works ok.

Always


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot into rescue mode, or open a terminal in a full session
2. type 'grub' (as root) to enter grub shell
3. enter partial commands, eg 'root (', then press tab to complete.
  
Actual results:
No completion, tab just moves cursor to the right


Expected results:
commands should be expanded according to tab completion rules

Works ok from a grub command line at boot

It's exactly the same on F12.

the problem seems to be that the ncurses lib isn't linked in to the static /sbin/bin binary, you can fix it by rebuilding with ncurses-devel installed.

Any reason why it's not linked in?

This message is a reminder that Fedora 11 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 11.  It is Fedora's policy to close all

This bug is also in Fedora 13.
It is very annoying when you need to use the grub shell to repair a system.
