This message is a reminder that Fedora 12 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 12. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '12'. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 2.28.5-1 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open "Sound preferences" -> "Output" tab and set balance to 100% right (let the dialog stay open) 2. run totem with an audio file (i listened to ogg audio files) 3. set volume in totem using bottom-right button Actual results: Volume balance is reset to center Expected results: Volume balance stays where it was set Additional info: When setting volume to 0% in sound preferences, balance is also reset to center: this is expected because when both right and left go to 0%, balance is actually equal for both channels. In this case, the balance is changed to center whatever volume you set in totem.
