Doesn't seem reproducible on my system (with file-roller-2.30.1.1-2.fc13.x86_64 or 2.30.1.1-3 from updates-testing).

When I click 'Create Folder' on the extract window, the keyboard focus switches to the 'Type name of new folder' entry field and stays there, unless I click somewhere else, which is when the entry field disappears. Clicking on the entry field itself removes the selection and inserts the cursor, as expected.

I think it's gnome-common bug

Fixed, I rpm -e gnome-common --nodeps and then yum installed gnome-common
