Same issue 'Connection timed out' for LDAP server observed during upgrade JON2.3.1 to JON2.4-Beta0 with Postgres 8.3. I've updated the title to indicate that this is not limited to Oracle. Simeon, please investigate I was able to upgrade a JON 2.3.1 -> 2.4.0 server (with LDAP server configured) using Postgres 8.3.4 without errors. I also noticed in the attached logs that there were issues with the upgraded server indicated by the following errors: ## ORA-02292: integrity constraint (JON.SYS_C0030405) violated - child record found I'm thinking that there were upgrade problems that occurred before the LDAP failures were encountered. Is it possible that the initial test setup was not correct for an upgrade? I think this needs to be run again through QA as my postgres install with correct GA bits went fine. Moving this back to ON_QA for retesting. Verified this on upgrade from JON 2.3.1 -> 2.4.0GA on Postgres 8.4.2. Verified that there is no 'Connection timed out' error for LDAP server in server log. LDAP functionality is working fine after upgrade. I Will be verifying this on ORACLE 10g before marking as verified. Verified on upgrade from JON 2.3.1 -> 2.4.0GA on ORACLE 10g. Verified that there is no 'Connection timed out' error for LDAP server in server log. LDAP functionality is working fine after upgrade. Marking as verified. Bulk closing of issues that were VERIFIED, had no target release and where the status changed more than a year ago. |

Verify server log for 'Connection timed out' for LDAP server NOTE: LDAP functionality is working fine even after upgrade. Actual results: Upgrade JON2.3.1 to JON2.4 with Oracle 10g gives 'Connection timed out' for LDAP server. Expected results: JON server should not give 'Connection timed out' message for LDAP server.
