Description kevin 2010-06-08 23:28:14 UTC
This is a request for an enhancement to the virt-manager utility.

I would like to have a "notes" field where free-form text can be entered. (There is a similar facility available in VMWare.) I suggest that this text be held in the /etc/libvirt/qemu/*.xml file.

Comment 1 Daniel Berrange 2010-06-09 09:28:28 UTC
libvirt already supports a generic '<description>' element for such data, so just needs a bit of UI in virt-manager.

Comment 2 Cole Robinson 2010-06-09 16:33:40 UTC
That UI is already available in the latest virt-manager release, 0.8.4. Closing CURRENTRELEASE.

Comment 3 kevin 2010-06-09 19:47:28 UTC
Thanks for the quick reply. Currently using F12 so latest version is virt-manager-0.8.2-3.fc12.noarch. I'll just have to wait for 0.8.4 to filter down.
