Description John Berninger 2002-03-06 19:51:04 UTC
Description of Problem:
Initscript for postgres has no options file in /etc/sysconfig to easily pass
additional options to pg_ctl command at startup.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
postgresql-7.1.3-2

How Reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Need to modify initscript /etc/rc.d/init.d/postgresql to pass additional
options to postmaster at startup
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Had ot modify init script

Expected Results:
Wanted to modify /etc/sysconfig/postgresql

Additional Information:
Modification of /var/lib/pgsql/data/postmaster.opts and
/var/lib/pgsql/data/postmaster.opts.default in an attempt to achieve the same
result (tell postmaster to listen to TCP/IP) had no effect.

Use /var/lib/pgsql/data/postgresql.conf (btdt, used it myself).
