Description of problem:
When saving a file in, say, gedit or gimp, the filename stays selected after having browsed to another folder.  This is misleading because it looks like you can just start typing a new filename and it will appear in the 'Name' field, but in fact it will just try selecting an existing file from the file browser.

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start gedit
2.Click Save.  The 'Name:' field contains 'Unsaved Document 1', all of which is selected.
3.Double-click on any folder in your home directory to navigate to it.  The 'Name:' field is still selected and it looks like you will be able to start typing a name.
4.Start typing a name.

Actual results:
The GtkListView-type widget showing existing filenames receives the keystrokes and starts trying to scroll to the typed-in name.

Expected results:
It is clear after step 3 that typing will not result in a new file name.

Additional info:
I think there are two possible solutions:

1. The Name: text entry widget could have its text deselected when the browser widget receives focus.

-or-

2. The Name: text entry widget could regain focus after the browser widget is used to navigate to another folder.

My preferred solution is the first.

This message is a reminder that Fedora 12 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 12.  It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained.  At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 
'version' of '12'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' 
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 12's end of life.

we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 12 is end of life.  If you 
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it 
against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this 
bug to the applicable version.  If you are unable to change the version,

lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events.  Often a 
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes 
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Fedora 13 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2011-06-25. Fedora 13 is 
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further 
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of 
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version.
