Description Dominik Schmid 2010-06-28 16:55:59 UTC
Description of problem:
When kickstart a system, the server returns a error 500.
I used the link from the webgui like https://server.example.com/ks/cfg/org/1/label/centos

When i look into the cobbler.log file there is the following error:
[Mon Jun 28 18:35:37 2010] [error] Execution of /var/www/html/ks failed at Mon Jun 28 18:35:37 2010: argh, no idea how to handle subsys cfg at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/Sniglets/Kickstart.pm line 62.
[Mon Jun 28 18:35:37 2010] [error] Traceback sent to <.....> at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/PXT/ApacheHandler.pm line 596.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
spacewalk 1.0 on centos 5.5, the perl components were installed from different repositories like epel and dag wieers...

How reproducible:
Downloading the kickstart file gives an error 500 https://server.example.com/ks/cfg/org/1/label/centos

Comment 1 Dominik Schmid 2010-06-30 08:50:51 UTC
Is there a fix for this bug or do I have to wait for the new version?

My description is not completely right:
When i download the kickstart with http -> error 500
With https it works from the browser, but I think the installer can not handle the https request at this point.

Comment 2 Dominik Schmid 2010-08-13 08:52:51 UTC
Does this mean, you didn't fix this bug in version 1.1 of Spacewalk?
Before you implement some nice features to spacewalk which i see in the roadmap, you should first be sure to have the main things running...
Sorry, I'm a bit disappointed. But maybe I don't understand this right.

Mass-moving to space13.

Comment 4 Michael Mráka 2011-03-04 10:02:29 UTC
Hi Dominik,

kickstart handlers has been moved to java stack and the perl code has been removed. I checked the issue is not present in Spacewalk 1.3 so I'm closing the bug.

Feel free to reopen it if the issue persists.
