Please add drm.debug=0x04 to the kernel command line, restart computer, and attach * your X server config file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf, if available), * output of the dmesg command, and * system log (/var/log/messages) to the bug report as individual uncompressed file attachments using the bugzilla file attachment link above. I yum updated to xorg-x11-server-Xorg 1.8.0-17, then rebooted adding drm.debug=0x04 to the kernel line. Once I got to GDM I switched to a VT and got the files requested. I've also attached a screenshot of the graphics corruption in a gnome session. This is still an issue with latest xorg-X11-server-Xorg 1.8.2-2. Works fine in F14 / Xorg 1.9 This message is a reminder that Fedora 13 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 13. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '13'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 13's end of life. Created attachment 427789 [details] xorg.log from session with updated (broken) package Description of problem: Latest xorg upgrade caused very poor performance, including tearing of windows, slow updates of large screen areas, graphics corruption of unfocussed windows. Downgrading to 1.8.0-12 fixed the problem. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.8.0-17.fc13.x86_64 How reproducible: Rebooted system a couple of times just to check - GDM login screen is affected as is Gnome session. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Update xorg-x11-xserver-Xorg to 1.8.0-17 via yum update 2. Restart X 3. Observe poor graphics performance Actual results: Graphics corruption and slow redraws. Expected results: X ought to work just as well as before, if not even better Additional info:
