Description Sudhir D 2010-07-07 10:20:20 UTC
Description of problem:
Upload of bundle via URL just hangs. I waited for over an hour.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
jon-server-2.4.0.GA_QA Build# 51.

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Administration -> Content -> Bundle
2. Click on New
3. Select the radio button that say URL and provide the http url (http://10.65.201.129/app.zip in my case)

Actual results:
At the bottom of the browser, I just see "Transferring data from 10.65.201.129..."

Expected results:
The bundle should be uploaded within some stipulated time.

Additional info:
I have cheked the download url and I'm able to download the file directly. Also, with Upload option, I'm able to upload bundle within a minute or so.

In the httpd access_log/error_log, I don't see anything. Nor there is anything in rhq-server log.

Just noticed that the bundle has actually been uploaded but did not move to next screen even after clicking the next button

Fix commit: c582fb4252fb6e583807287950d2aca8aa365f6e

I have made several changes to the wizard aimed to better inform and protect the user while file upload is in progress. I would like you to retry. It is possible the that url fetch may take a bit longer than a straight download via the browser. Please be patient for potentially several minutes longer that a standard download. The network bandwith could also play a part here.

Verified this against jon-server-2.4.0.GA_QA Build# 53.

I was able to successfully upload bundle (~300MB in size) via url. Marking as verified.
