This patch fixes the keymap error for bracketleft and bracketright none

Description Felix Becker 2010-07-11 13:33:12 UTC
Description of problem:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.0.0

How reproducible:
Reproducable ingame.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start FlightGear with "fgfs --aircraft=777-200ER"
2. Press "v" for viewing the aircraft from the outside
3. Press "]" for carting out the flaps (which doesn't work)

Actual results:
Flaps doesn't cart out. Thats not good for take off / landing.

Expected results:
Flaps should cart out when pressing ].

Additional info:
I talked with the flight gear developers. It should work with openSceneGraph 2.9.6 or newer very well. The used version in fedora 13 (2.8.2-3) is too old.

Comment 1 Robert Scheck 2010-07-11 14:13:39 UTC
IMHO this bug report should get reassigned to OpenSceneGraph - but with the
note, that OpenSceneGraph 2.9.x is a developer release thus can't be treated
as stable.

Comment 2 Fabrice Bellet 2010-07-18 18:27:32 UTC
I reassign this bug to OpenSceneGraph, as the problem described here is a keymapping error in osg-2.8.2. Starting osgkeyboard, and hitting the '[' key shows that it is remapped incorrectly to '('. Note that osg-2.8.3 in rawhide works fine. Patch follows.

this is a backport from osm-2.8.3.

Correct. That's why I do not intent to upgrade Fedora's OpenSceneGraph to 2.9.x.

Also let me add that it's also hardly possible to upgrade OpenSceneGraph to 2.8.3 for FC12/FC13 because OSG-2.8.3 is ABI/API incompatible to 2.8.2.
I.e. unless some serious bugs shows effect in FC12/FC13, OpenSceneGraph will have to stay with 2.8.2 in FC12/FC13.

Thanks. I am going to apply this patch.
