Go to the operation alert sender, select 'specific resource' and then 'pick'. The resource picker 
pops up.
Now use the pagination buttons to page to the next page with resources. This enables the pick selected button - even if no item selected.

Same happens after searching for a resource.

Actually this also happens on the resource hub.
