This doesn't appear to be the full traceback. Could you attach the rest of it to the bug? Additionally, was this on CDs you burned yourself? That trace was all the content of the file I could extract, It seems to corrupt when I try to copy from diskette to HD, I can only browse it from diskette. The red hat copy was burned by someone in the lab some time ago, but I installed several months ago another Linux with them. This is most certainly do to a bad cd. If you look at the traceback on floppy scroll through it and look for read errors in the kernel log. They will be 'atapi reset' type messages. Thank you very much for your support.
