My problem is which syslinux version will be contained in RHEL 6 release? And as we know users can update syslinux. However, this problem is typical I think. Fedora 12 and Fedora 13 has the same problem. Frankly speaking, users will suppose that would be a hardware problem when encounter this problem first time. So I think it would be necessary to give a way to solve that problem. IMO, that would be an incompatibility with pxelinux.0 and the ethernet chip ROM. This issue has been proposed when we are only considering blocker issues in the current Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. ** If you would still like this issue considered for the current release, ask your support representative to file as a blocker on your behalf. Otherwise ask that it be considered for the next Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. ** This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed products. This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update release. We now have syslinux-4.02-4.el6 into 6.1 trees and I have confirmation from Hui Li that it is working well for him. Moving to VERIFIED. An advisory has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed with a resolution of ERRATA. For more information on therefore solution and/or where to find the updated files, please follow the link below. You may reopen this bug report if the solution does not work for you. http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2011-0634.html |
