Description Severin Gehwolf 2010-08-10 19:48:29 UTC
It would be nice if Fedora had a man page for Eclipse. In particular, I think, it would be useful to describe basic start-up options for Eclipse (e.g. for debugging an Eclipse start-up problem). For completeness it may point to http://help.eclipse.org/helios/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv/reference/misc/runtime-options.html or similar.

Any particular reason why this hasn't been done yet? Thanks!

We can consider doing this in eclipse-build so other Linux distros would benefit.

I'm not sure of any historic reasons.

Chris is right that this is an upstream issue (eclipse-build in this case since the Eclipse SDK doesn't carry one due to multiple '-application's ... see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=30107 , https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=30107 , and friends for more details).
